Excellent library with friendly staff. The checkout kiosks are upgraded. The holds are well maintained and very useful for quick checkout. There is security in staff always, there is shelter nextdoor. So there are people around struggling with homelessness. The staff are excellent to deal with any situation and friendly with all. Get kids reading early and a lot. Best thing one can do for them. Lots of graphic novels enjoyable for teens and adults as well. It's blessing all of us have access to nice libraries to keep up with reading all the wonderful books.

They discriminate against homeless people and people with mental illness I go to a mental health drop in center that’s in walking distance from this place so when I walked over there with some of the folks from that place I asked where to water fountain was because I was thirsty and they said “it’s in the back” of the library but I’ve looked everywhere and there was no water fountain somebody told me that they don’t treat the homeless well over there they just assumed because I looked homeless and was hanging out with them that I was homeless but I’m not I suffer from mental illness I toke it as a personal insult because I have a friend of mine that was homeless I should’ve made a complaint about this place at the time but for some reason I didn’t.

i needed to print some documents so i could move forward with my new job but don't have a printer so i figured there must be something at the library. not only is there a printer available (15 cents a page which is pretty cheap honestly) but as i was trying to figure out how to work it one of the librarians came over and explained what to do and how to use the computers as a guest since i didn't have a card. he was very nice and friendly! 10/10 staff they answered all my questions and were very helpful

Nice selection of books and lots of space to read and chill. Facility could be a little more renovated as it is a little outdated, and somewhat unclean in some places

I have two young kids and they lost their books and I have slowly been returning them to Reston library. Do you know they send library fines to a private collections agency. I paid my fine at the library and Reston library charged a $10 fee on top of fines? This happened Jan 26- a month after supposedly fines should be forgiven. I have never seen this and think it’s gross for any low-income families who might be struggling who might also be cut off from Libby and resources. Definitely not the spirit of the library system. Their librarians are unfriendly and their kids section is underwhelming. My old library had live music and great kids programming. This one is as dismal and gray as the brutalist architecture.

I was recently forced into homelessness and continue to be because of a toxic family situation. This library is clean, has ample seating areas, and good internet connection - a sanctuary for me during this horrible chapter in life. The staff are great and security is always ready to handle any unruly persons who disrespect the space for others. Great public library!

Building is dark and grey. Needs a refresh badly. There are many homeless people being loud and using fowl language. I would never take kids here.

Love the large selection and friendly staff. I have been impressed at the diversity if characters available in the children's section. When we used the curbside pick up, there weren't any premade grab bags that were at an appropriate reading level for my daughter so the staff person took note of her interests and ran around the library creating one just for her!
